Troppo

Here is a copy of Troppo architects ‘mission statement’ which sums up most of the discussions we had for the initial development of domus in tute 1

Troppo Architects. Troppo is a practice of regionally based studios aiming to develop regionally responsive architectures.
...And to promote a Sense of Place: through an architecture that responds to climate and the local setting: a dynamic architecture of adjustable skins; that connects the indoors with the out: a non-constant architecture that responds to the morning, the evening,
the season, the heat, the cold, the sun, the rain, the moment that will never pass again.
Troppo embrace the informality that is the Australian lifestyle.

The concept of modular design, and prefabrication of structures is one that Troppo embraces. Especially when designing in Central Australia and Aboriginal communities. They have developed systems that enable modular building elements to be trucked in to create minimum disruption to the surrounding environment and communities. This is particularly relevant to our site
